Guiding Principles

Guiding Principles

Each year, every ENFINITE member confirms that their company is committed to the ENFINITE Guiding Principles. It is not a secret that the best national, regional and local companies in the liquid recycling industry belong to ENFINITE. They are the companies that care enough about being the best, staying informed, supporting good public policy, promoting proper recycling of used oil and are committed to the ENFINITE Guiding Principles.

The ENFINITE Guiding Principles

As a member of ENFINITE: The Industrial Liquid Recyclers Association, our company is committed to management of a sound environmental policy, a high standard of integrity, continual improvement, and the implementation of the following principles in conducting our business activities:

1. We make health, safety, and environmental considerations a top priority in our planning for all existing and new facilities, processes, products, and services.

2. We are committed to complying with all applicable environmental laws and regulations.

3. We will identify and implement, where practicable, pollution prevention measures, source reduction, and waste minimization that are appropriate to the nature, scale, and environmental impacts of our activities and services.

4. We will participate with government and others in creating responsible laws, regulations, and standards to safeguard our community, workplace, and environment.

5. We will communicate this commitment to responsible recycling and these guiding principles to our employees, customers, and community.

6. We will continually seek opportunities to improve the principles and procedures of responsible recycling by sharing experiences with others and periodically reviewing our overall environmental performance.

7. We are committed to complying with all applicable anti-trust laws.

Press Release Distribution

As part of its mission to provide knowledge to its members, ENFINITE distributes industry information to its members; including press releases from members. At the discretion of the association, press releases that are provided by members may be distributed via the ENFINITE website, email, social media and/or print publications. ENFINITE reserves the right to truncate material submitted because of space limitations. ENFINITE also reserves the right to not distribute information that is deemed inappropriate or that violates/may violate any of the association’s anti-trust policies. ENFINITE will contact members for approval prior to distributing information about a member that was not supplied directly by the member.

ENFINITE Anti-Trust Compliance

By their very nature, trade associations are comprised of companies that compete with each other. ENFINITE is no exception. When members of a trade association get together there is undoubtedly a temptation to consider ways to work together and improve business by avoiding competition. This would be ILLEGAL — a violation of this Nation’s strict antitrust laws. ENFINITE is 100 percent dedicated to compliance with antitrust laws. CONSEQUENTLY, at no meeting of ENFINITE members should there be any discussion of companies’ prices for services or products, sharing markets or employees, sales territories, or any form of cooperation which could restrict competition. This rule should be scrupulously adhered to. ENFINITE has zero tolerance for any activity which could lead to antitrust violations. While joint ventures are not per se illegal, ENFINITE requests that ENFINITE members (1) seek independent legal advice concerning discussions of joint ventures; (2) avoid ENFINITE conferences and meetings as a forum for any such discussions. All competitive business decisions are exclusively the province of individual companies acting independently. Any questions concerning this reminder should be directed to ENFINITE Executive Director Scott Parker.
